"Books That Make a Difference"
Each acquisitions area below includes a description of the types of projects we are interested in, as well as the file formats and the number of documents we are able to accept.
Note that a cover letter is part of the submission process. We ask that you complete one. Please be brief but thorough and include information about your qualifications and area of expertise; a market analysis and/ or competing works; and, completion plans if not submitting work in its entirety.
There is a modest fee associated with submitting. It enables us to create a more streamlined system of review and acceptance. We appreciate your investment in our process.
Please review these general guidelines:
1-- A complete submission includes a cover letter accompanied by: a finished manuscript, or a professional proposal, or at least the first 40 pages of the manuscript with estimated date of completion.
2-- Submissions process is open year-round.
3-- Please send only the materials requested.
4-- Please be sure all pages are numbered.
5-- Hudson Whitman publishes nonfiction and does not accept fiction, short stories, or poetry.
6-- Occasionally, and depending on the number of submissions received, the response time may be slightly longer. Thank you in advance for your patience.

Health care - $5.00
We are looking to acquire nonfiction books and multimedia projects that examine the role of health care in America. Special areas of interest currently include: the industry from an insider's perspective; projects that examine problems and pose solutions; "need to know" information; historical overview of a niche area; human interest stories that focus on spirit and perseverance.Please submit two files:
1--a cover letter (max 2 pages) telling us a little about yourself and your expertise, the project's relevance, a brief market analysis, and let us know if it has been published before (and if so, where/ how).

Military Interests - $5.00
We are looking to acquire nonfiction books and multimedia projects that examine the role of military in America. Special areas of interest currently include: the industry from an insider's perspective; projects that examine problems and pose solutions; "need to know" information; historical overview of a niche area; human interest stories that focus on courage, spirit, and perseverance.Please submit two files:

We are looking to acquire nonfiction books and multimedia projects that examine the role of higher education in America, specifically adult education and online learning. Special areas of interest currently include: critical theory; historical overview of a controversial topic; projects that examine problems and pose innovative solutions; human interest stories that focus on spirit and perseverance.Please submit two files:

American Culture & Society - $5.00
We are looking to acquire nonfiction books and multimedia projects examining issues and events that illuminate how we live in our society. This is a broad, eclectic category so we encourage you to submit innovative and thought-provoking projects.Please submit two files:
1--a cover letter (max 2 pages) telling us a little about yourself and your expertise, the project's relevance, a brief market analysis, and let us know if it has been published before (and if so, where/ how).

Business & Technology - $5.00
We are looking to acquire nonfiction books and multimedia projects that examine the role of business and technology in America. Special areas of interest currently include: either discipline from an insider's perspective; alternative projects that examine problems and pose solutions; "how to" information; texts that deal with entrepreneurial STEM applications; historical overview of a niche area; human interest stories that focus on spirit and perseverance.Please submit two files:
